“British produce has never needed the spotlight more than they do today’
A brand new festival celebrating sustainability, food and British farming will be coming to Greater Manchester next year – and they’re bringing with them a bar stocked full of Jeremy Clarkson’s beer.
Fields to Fork Festival will take place at Whitebottom Farm, based within Etherow Country Park in Stockport, for two days next May. The event is set to feature live music, appearances from award-winning chefs and plenty of food and drink to sample.
Alongside local artisans showcasing some of the best produce on offer across Britain, there will also be the UK’s largest ever Hawkstone bar – featuring more than 80 taps.
The beer company was founded by Jeremy Clarkson three years ago alongside the Cotswold Brew Company and is now stocked in a number of pubs across the country including The Taphouse, just off Oxford Road in the city centre’s Symphony Park.
Its collection of drinks include a premium lager, a session lager, an IPA, and a Hedgerow cider made with British blackcurrants, blackberries and apples.
Taking place on May 3 and 4, the new festival will also feature talks and Q&A sessions from local farmers, food producers, and industry leaders, as well as a Blok Live Fire Cooking Stage which will feature culinary demonstrations from some of the top chefs in the game.
“British produce and rural culture have never needed the spotlight more than they do today,” Alexander McLaren, founder of Fields to Fork Festival, said of the event.
“This festival is our way of celebrating everything that makes the British countryside special, while bringing communities together to champion sustainability and local businesses.”
Tucked within the 200-acre Etherow Country Park, Whitebottom Farm is located by the park’s impressive waterfall. In recent years, the farm has become known for its numerous music events – notably Moovin Festival held on the August Bank Holiday weekend, as well as the likes of the Craic by the Creek and Buckle & Boots.
Alongside day tickets starting from £10, people can buy weekend passes or even buy camping options. Children under the age of four can go free.
