25 February 2026 – Stockport charity, the Together Trust, has been included in the Financial Time’s Best Employers list for 2026, newly published this week – one of only four in Stockport to do so.

Now in its second year, the FT’s Best Employers rankings are compiled in collaboration with global data firm Statista. The results are based on an independent survey of 20,000 people across the UK, with workers asked to share their views on their employers in key areas such as workplace culture, wellbeing and salary.

Beginning its work over 150 years ago in Manchester, the Together Trust’s mission is to care for and champion the rights, needs and ambitions of care-experienced children and people with disabilities, autism and mental health differences. The local charity delivers individual care, support and education to thousands of people across almost 50 services in the North West, primarily within the Stockport area.

Last year, the Together Trust achieved the Investors in People Gold Award for the second time running, an accomplishment achieved by only 17% of accredited organisations. It currently offers 180 accredited learning opportunities, such as through apprenticeship schemes and funded NPQ Education Leadership programmes, all of which are accessible to its staff at no cost.
