Police have described the moment they were abused by the mother of youth who blamed THEM after he fell off a stolen bike.
The youth was riding the bike through Brinnington in Stockport when he spotted a police car down the street.
He attempted to beat a hasty retreat, but managed to get stuck in mud and fell off the bike,
The youth apparently dusted himself off and abandoned the bike, which had been stolen from Denton, before running away.

But as police went to inspect the bike, the boy’s mum turned up at the scene and started being abusive towards them.
She told officers that by being in the area, it was THEIR fault he had fallen off the bike.
Sharing details of the incident on social media, police wrote: “Another stolen bike recovered, stolen from Denton and recovered from Brinnington, after a youth on the stolen bike seen a police vehicle down the street and while turning the bike around to make good his escape, got the bike stuck in mud and fell off it.
“The youth dusted himself off and made off on foot while the officers remained with the stolen bike….. for moments later, the youth’s mother to turn up and give the officers abuse for being in the area to cause her little cherub to fall off the STOLEN bike.
“You couldn’t make it up.”
