Mum Asks For Changes In Drink Driving Laws As A Result Of His Son’s Accident

The mother of that young boy, who was killed in an accident is pleading and wanting the authorities to bring changes in drink driving laws.

This campaign was started by the mother of dead child since the time his 11-year-old son died when he was a farm.

The tractor driver was drunk and this incident took place in Tingley in 2013.

It was reported that the driver, Gary Green consumed double the amount set by the law for drinking alcohol while he was driving the tractor.

Basically, he was driving his tractor on his private land, so road traffic laws cannot be applied to him. He can rather be prosecuted under the law of health and safety.

Mr. Green who is 51 and belongs to Wakefield has been now jailed for 16 months and 2 weeks. His case is being heard at the Leeds Crown Court.

Has himself has admitted that he failed to consider and take care of the safety of other people around while he was driving the tractor.

The family and relatives of the departed soul are deeply saddened at this loss of this young life.
For them, it is very hard to forget the innocence of that child.
