Jealous woman, 33, changed ex-husband’s new partner’s Netflix profile names to ‘desperate homewrecker’ and ‘the skank’

A jealous woman changed the names of profiles on her ex-husband’s new partner’s Netflix account.

Sharen Pound, 33, also submitted her victim’s details to a stair lift company and cosmetic surgery in Manchester, causing her to receive ‘nuisance’ phone calls, Stockport Magistrates’ Court heard on Thursday.

Ms Pound, of Frith View, Chapel-En-Le-Frith, admitted to harassing her victim on April 9 of this year.

The victim saw ‘the profile had been changed’, prosecutor Peter Conroy said.

He added: “The new profiles were changed to ‘desperate homewrecker’ and ‘the skank’.

“Later that morning she started receiving calls. They wanted to follow up on online requests.

“This included a nose job at a Manchester private hospital, and installing a stair lift at the property.”

Mr Conroy added that the calls caused ‘considerable annoyance’ to the victim, and ‘concern as her bank details were visible’.

He continued: “I think it is understandable she did have those concerns.

“[The victim said] she wanted it to stop and said Sharen was jealous of her relationship and she has been targeted.”

However, there was no evidence Pound committed any financial crimes.

Defending Pound was Anthony Derbyshire, who told Magistrates Scott Cowap his client was embarrassed to be in the dock.

“It is with some embarrassment that she appears here today, as her biggest loss is of her previous good character,” he said.

“She accepts she was entirely wrong and she is very, very remorseful for her actions.”

Mr Derbyshire added that Pound, who has no previous convictions, went through a ‘very stressful time’ in the lead up to her actions, and ‘had a low mood’.

He said: “You have pleaded guilty at the earliest opportunity to the harassment of [your victim].

“My colleagues have listened very carefully to the prosecution who explained the circumstances and we listened to the defence who spoke very eloquently.

“We are going to impose a fine.”

Sharen Pound, 33, admitted to harassment.

She was given an £80 fine, ordered to pay £85 in costs and £34 as a victim surcharge, and was given a 12-month restraining order.
