The pub has has an overhaul to both the interior and exteriors and an improved sports area
It’s just a stone’s throw from Manchester Airport and now one Greater Manchester pub has been totally transformed following a six-figure investment just in time for the summer holidays.
The Flying Horse, a popular pub in Heald Green, Manchester reopened its doors to the public this past weekend, complete with reimagined spaces and new features for pub-goers.
The family-friendly venue is a Hungry Horse pub – part of pub company and brewer Greene King – and is now officially welcoming punters back after a brief closure earlier this year.
Key features of the investment include the modernisation of the pub’s interior with a new open-plan restaurant space, complete with updated furniture and décor.

Customers can also make the most of the transformed pub’s offering with the installation of a new self-serve coffee machine to accompany the pub’s selection of meals spanning breakfast, lunch and dinner occasions.
The Flying Horse’s sports area has also been fully refurbished to include a brand-new darts lane and upgraded TV screens showing the latest live fixtures on Sky Sports and TNT Sports.
Meanwhile, the pub’s exterior has also received significant improvements, with additional outdoor seating and comfortable garden furniture complementing the outdoor playground.
To celebrate the relaunch, the Flying Horse has donated to the nearby 1st Gatley (St James) Scout Group as part of its efforts to support local community initiatives.
