A care home in Cheadle is marching to the beat of their own drum as they open their doors to the community for a carnival extravaganza.

On Monday 30th January, from 3pm-7pm, Care UK’s Abney Court, in Abney Hall Park, is inviting local people to move their feet at the home’s special event to kick start the new year.

Guests will be welcomed with a glass of bubbly and canapés, specially prepared by the home’s Head Chef.

There will be live entertainment brought from The Ultimate Circus Experience, with impressive magic tricks, contortionists and showstopping performances – sure to have everyone watching in amazement.

Everyone will also have the opportunity to take their own pictures at the carnival-inspired event, posing next to the colourful balloon arch photo point. Visitors can also visit a variety of stalls to get their sweet fix, including popcorn and cake stands – which will include items handmade by residents.

Members of the community will also be able to take a tour around the care home, which comes complete with its own cinema, hair salon and café.
