Drivers are being warned to expect delays on the M60 after a crash near Stockport.
Two lanes of the clockwise carriageway are closed between junction 27 at Portwood and junction 1 at the Pyramid.
There are currently delays backing up to junction 25 for Bredbury this afternoon (August 24).
The crash involves a car and a lorry, according to the Inrix traffic monitoring system.
In a post on Twitter, a spokesperson for Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) said: “M60 clockwise between junction 1 and junction 27.
“Two lanes are closed due to an RTC.
“Congestion up to junction 25.
“Allow an extra time for your journey.”
A spokesperson for National Highways North West wrote on Twitter: “M60 clockwise junction 27 (Stockport East A560) to junction 1 (A5145 Stockport) two lanes have been closed due to a collision.”
Greater Manchester Police, North West Ambulance Service and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service have been approached for comment.
